Privacy Policy

Operated by Cain Consolidated · Last updated: September 2026

The short version

Rollout has no user accounts, no tracking, no advertising, and no analytics SDKs. Your data stays on your device. We do not run a server that stores your information.

Location

If you grant permission, your device location is used only to search for places near you. The coordinates are sent directly from your device to the mapping services (OpenStreetMap's Overpass and Nominatim APIs, and Apple Maps) solely to return nearby results, and are not stored by us or attached to your identity. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; the app still works if you enter a city or ZIP code manually. Precise location is used for app functionality only; it is never used to track you and is never linked to an identity.

Data stored on your device

Your preferences (theme, search radius, filters), your saved day plan, your milestones, and your roll streak are stored locally on your own device (in app storage on iOS, or your browser's local storage on the web). Deleting the app, or clearing your browser data, removes them. None of this is transmitted to us.

Purchases

Rollout+ subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using Apple's In-App Purchase system. We never see or store your payment card details. Your subscription status is provided to the app by Apple so it can unlock paid features. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

Place searches are fulfilled by OpenStreetMap (privacy policy) and Apple Maps search (Apple's privacy policy). Local weather, used to tailor suggestions, comes from Open-Meteo (terms), which receives approximate coordinates only. Tapping to get directions opens your device's chosen maps application, which is governed by that app's own privacy policy. We do not share any information with advertisers or data brokers, because we do not collect it.

Opening hours lookup

To show which places are open, Rollout may read the public website listed for a nearby business and look for its posted opening hours. This request goes directly from your device to that business's website, the same way a web browser would, so that website can see your device's IP address. No personal information is sent, and the hours found are saved only on your device.

Calendar

If you choose to add a rolled day to your calendar, Rollout asks for write-only calendar access and adds those events. It cannot read your existing calendar, and nothing is sent to us.

Children

Rollout is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version at this URL.
